This is an event announcement and invitation to express interest. The programme below is proposed; attendance is only confirmed after the session details have been agreed directly.

The idea

Inspired by Nausicaa’s “human Origami” approach to modelling, this photography day explores how a small shift in posture, angle or light can transform an image. Her portfolio spans fashion, portraiture, fine art and sculptural shapes; this proposed programme brings that creative vocabulary into a focused fashion-and-portrait shoot.

The creative direction is clothed fashion and portrait photography: clean silhouettes, considered styling and expressive movement. Photographers with a clear portfolio idea, as well as those looking to explore a new visual direction, are invited to enquire.

Three creative chapters

01 / Shape

Explore folded lines, angular poses and negative space. Build strong compositions with a simple backdrop and a restrained wardrobe.

02 / Light

Develop a portrait series around soft light and stronger shadow. Experiment with viewpoint and framing to change the mood.

03 / Movement

Bring the session together through flowing transitions and expressive gestures, aiming for a coherent sequence rather than isolated frames.

Proposed session flow

  1. Creative briefing: share references, agree the visual direction and discuss boundaries and intended image use.
  2. Shape studies: establish composition, styling and a foundation of sculptural poses.
  3. Portraits in light: explore expression, light direction and contrasting moods.
  4. Movement sequence: develop your chosen idea into a short visual story.
  5. Wrap-up: review the creative direction and agree any follow-up arrangements.

Session length, individual or shared format, lighting arrangements and any additional team members will be agreed in advance. Bring your camera, preferred lens and a small selection of visual references; equipment requirements will be confirmed with the session details.
